Never have the challenges organisations face been so complex or the pace of change so fast.
Which is why forward-thinking organisations are focusing on developing teams to reach their full potential, rather than only running development programmes to train individual leaders in a potentially out-dated suite of management skills.
‘Whole Team Coaching’ is a unique form of team coaching which provides a thorough and effective approach to supporting teams to identify, understand and address their challenges and play the role that their business and their stakeholders need.
Based on the Systemic Team Coaching model developed by Professor Peter Hawkins of Henley Business School, Whole Team Coaching involves a coach working in partnership with a team over a several months, supporting them in examining the various systems and relationships which are contingent to their success – and taking positive action.
A multi-dimensional approach to team effectiveness
While team workshops and awaydays usually focus on team-building exercises and yield little long-term benefit, Whole Team Coaching supports a team in considering the full landscape in which it operates and ensuring its goals best meet the needs of today – and the likely needs of tomorrow.
This team coaching model also provides an opportunity for teams to consider their health, wellbeing and resilience and take steps to ensure they are not negatively impacted by their working environment - and that their health is not likely to have a negative impact on their work.
Whole Team Coaching supports teams developing healthy and high-functioning systems by taking in multiple dimensions including:

The team is usually supported in investigating the needs of their stakeholders and the organisational, economic, technical and other factors which could or should influence their work. From this, the team defines the most urgent issues they need to address, which might involve:
We can support your teams through workshops, strategy development sessions and ongoing coaching and training.
